Pain is as expansive as life itself.

In the face of every type of pain, we tend to think that life will never be the same, but guess what, it was never going to be the same anyway. The only thing more relentless than pain is change. It certainly can seem like the relentless pain of life is unbearable, but you are never more alive than when you are enraptured by pain. Pain is a horribly wonderful gift. We are never taught more deeply and more truthfully than by pain. We are all aching. Young and old  we all ache so much. Our hearts and bodies feel every shock. Pain is as expansive as life itself. Pain grows with us and in us as a cultivation of life's unfolding. Your pain is reminding you that the gift of life is tender and precious. Suffering cuts to the quick of aliveness. Pain realigns us with the present moment and brings us into a mindful awareness of the labored expansion of life's gift called  now. Whether it be physical or emotional, pain is usually a messenger trying to help us. Pain is a breach in the walls of decline and stagnation. Pain is the ultimate proof of life. We are all aching for something, even if only for some relief and a little peace. But remember when you are aching to feel alive, that you are aching only because you are alive! Lifetimes are lost in unnoticed moments, but pain forces us to notice. Because of pain you feel more and so you live more. Every beautiful thing in the world is rooted in some kind of pain. Pain is the clarion of aliveness trumpeting that you are living in the marvelous tender cause of life! Your burdens and pains will only be lightened by living ever so fully. If you want relief from pain just strive to touch more of every part of life. Live so fully and so brilliantly that your pain diminishes in your aliveness. Day by day, as you live more, you will become greater than your pain. May you receive the wisdom of your wounds and may you live your life even larger than your pain.

Journey to know who we truly are...

It is often the case, that if we endeavor on the journey to know who we truly are, we must be willing to stand completely unarmored, on the precipice of our life, and begin the journey through the gateways of our deepest wounds. 

We are required to dive deep and experience these places with unrelenting curiosity and interest-in a way we never have before. We allow ourselves to stand naked, without neutering any of the feelings that arise, and allow ourselves to experience the full burden and weightiness of these wounds in our lives....as we travel deeper and deeper, we come to know that remarkably, and perhaps counter to what our mind has always told us, that we will in fact survive allowing ourselves to experience these painful feelings...it is precisely in this "seeing", that awareness has the opportunity to slip in, creating space, and we come to know all the ways that we have been imprisoned by the mistaken belief that we are in fact these wounds. This is a remarkable day when seeing what we are not allows us to know who we truly are. So will you turn away? Perhaps this time you don't let your mind decide and just dive right in........You are in fact, waiting for You....!!!!! 

There is a difference between saying goodbye and letting go....

There is a difference between saying goodbye and letting go. 
Goodbye is not permanent. 
You can meet years later as old friends and share what happened in your life. You can smile and laugh about all the nonsense that you both went through.

However, letting go is being okay with never seeing this person ever again…being okay with never knowing how their life turned out… being okay with fifty or more years of silence… being okay with running into that person at a grocery store and having them not acknowledge your presence. 

This is the part of life that doesn’t sit well with me and never will. It tears my heart in pieces, robs me of gratitude, drains me of anything positive and eats at the faith that holds on. It goes against kindness....

It's about and for you..!!!!

When you are generous, sometimes people will take advantage... 
You may be respectful and yet people will be unkind... 
You may be a good person, and people will nonetheless treat you terribly.... 

We don't always get what we give, but that's fine, because you aren't giving it for them anyway, at least not exclusively.... 

It's really all a statement by, about and for you. How you treat others is really about who you choose to be in this life... 

The repayment for your good acts are the good acts themselves. When you act honorably, even if others don't, your honorable actions are your irretractable reward to yourself.... 

Who you chose to be  decision by decision and act by act is the great reward you receive by doing good. What is well done is well received. The mark you leave in another's heart is always left in yours.. for better or worse...!!!

Polarity of life...

Life is always a polarity... 
If there were no darkness there would be no light...
If there were no trouble there could never be any peace... 
If the sun always shone you would not appreciate it... 
You have to learn sometimes through conditions that seem a nuisance... 
One day you will look back and say, "We learned our best lessons not when the sun was shining, but when the storm was at its greatest, when the thunder roared, the lightning flashed, the clouds obscured the sun and all seemed dark and hopeless". It is only when the soul is in adversity that some of its greatest possibilities can be realized...
